Summary
In this role, you will support the team in delivering safeguarding training to our volunteers and staff members.Detailed description
In this role your support will include:
- Using Guide Dogs standards to deliver safeguarding training for your local team.
- Ensuring to keep up to date with best practice for delivering safeguarding training.
- Organising dates, times, and locations for safeguarding training with your local team.
- Organising training materials for training sessions with your local teams.
Ideally you will:
- Have relevant experience or understanding of working in a safeguarding setting and having significant safeguarding responsibilities.
- Be able to meet the criteria of a safeguarding trainer (please get in touch for more details on this).
- Demonstrate appropriate values, attitudes, and behaviours in relation to Safeguarding.
- Have experience delivering training and confidence in demonstrating skills in relation to the training.
- Be able to demonstrate empathy whilst challenging inappropriate behaviours.
In return for your time you will get a dedicated volunteer manager/key contact who will help you settle in and support you during your time with us.

This role has equivalent to 1 day's training and then you’ll be ready to go!
