‘Volunteer Cambs’ is a project of the partners, led by Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service.

 

The partners are responsible for the processing of personal data as shown in this privacy statement.

Personal data that we process

The partners processes your personal data because you use our services and / or because you provide these to us yourself.

 

Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:

  • Sex

  • Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

the partners processes your personal data for the following purposes:

You have provided the information yourself by entering this data in your profile page and by using our website or that of one of our partners. Your profile characteristics are necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you, which aims at bringing in contact with charity organisations.

 

We send newsletters and marketing emails, and analyse your surfing behaviour on the basis of a legitimate interest, namely a commercial interest.

 

On your profile page you can give permission and withdraw it for sharing your personal data with third parties.

 

Automated decision making

The partners take decisions based on automated processing about issues that may affect individuals. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without a human being (such as an employee of the partners) among them.

 

The partners uses the Deedmob system to match your profile with the requirements or conditions of charity activities and activities. If the profile features you enter correspond to the requirements or conditions of a specific Charity vacancy, then the Deedmob system can automatically alert you to this vacancy.

 

There are no consequences if you ignore or delete this email.

 

How long we keep personal data

The partners do not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data: 

 

We keep your profile data for as long as your profile is not closed, so that you can continue to use our services (and possibly those of third parties).

With your Volunteer Cambs account you can not only log on to the website of Volunteer Cambs (www.volunteercambs.org.uk), but also on websites of DeedMob B.V. who use our system. This usually concerns websites of Volunteer Centers, but it can also be a website of, for example, the company where you work. If you log in to a website managed by Deedmob, we will share your account and profile information with this other organisation from the first time you log in to this other website.

 

A social organisation that places projects on a website managed by Deedmob can view your profile when you are a member of this organisation or follow this organisation, and possibly approach you by email with the request to work with this organisation for a particular project.

 

By using your Facebook account to login, Facebook processes your login details and possibly other information. This is not the responsibility of the partners. We advise you to consult the information pages of Facebook for more information about the use of your Facebook account to log in to third parties.
