A weekly visit to a resident (or 2) to read a newspaper, do a puzzle or to just enjoy a chat.
It will make a great impact on some of our residents who receive few visitors. Even a large care home can be a lonely place for residents and just being in the company of another person for a short while can lift their day for the better. The Activity staff team are very friendly and will make any volunteers very welcome and give them any necessary support. (A DBS will need to be done by the home).
