Volunteer Warehouse Operative

Where is this role based:

• Our distribution centre, Godmanchester

The role involves the following 

• Some heavy lifting 
• Accompanying our delivery drivers on collections and pick up’s as a driver’s mate 
• Sorting incoming donations 
• Sending textile for re-cycling 
• Product research 
• Preparing shop stock packages
• Unloaded/loading distribution vehicles

Desirable Attributes 

• Computer literate 
• Reasonable level of fitness 
• Good written and spoken English 

Essential Attributes 

• Over 18 years old
• Be able to supply 2 referees
• Not a family member or partner
• Not a current Woodgreen Staff or Volunteer member
• Known for over 12 months
• Reliable and punctual 
• Positive and friendly manner 
• Able to work as a part of a team as well as on your own

How many hours per week would I be required to volunteer? 

We work around you!!  You have been kind enough to give up your free time, so all voluntary hours are negotiable. Our distribution centre operates Mon-Fri 7am – 3pm.
