As a Football coach, your role involves leading, developing, and supporting players to improve their skills, teamwork, and understanding of the game. Key responsibilities and activities include:
1. Planning and Delivering Training Sessions
Design age-appropriate and ability-specific training plans.
Focus on technical skills (passing, dribbling, shooting), tactical awareness, and physical fitness.
Incorporate fun, competitive, and engaging drills that build player confidence and performance.
Include warm-ups, cool-downs, and injury prevention exercises.
2. Game Preparation and Matchday Duties
Select team line-ups and formations based on player strengths and development needs.
Provide pre-match instructions and tactical briefings.
Make real-time decisions during games, including substitutions and tactical changes.
Deliver post-match feedback in a constructive and supportive way.
3. Player Development
Monitor and assess player performance and progress throughout the season.
Offer individual feedback and development plans to help each player reach their full potential.
Foster a growth mindset and good sportsmanship both on and off the pitch.
4. Team Management and Communication
Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistants, and club officials.
Build a positive team culture, promoting respect, discipline, and teamwork.

5. Health, Safety and Safeguarding
Ensure a safe environment at all times during training and games.
Be first aid trained and follow all safeguarding policies.

Maintain attendance records and progress reports.
Organise equipment and ensure everything is in working condition.
Plan schedules for training, matches, and tournaments.
