Summary

We're looking to hear from those with financial, H&S & fundraising experience to become Trustees with the charity helping our efforts to tackle homelessness.

Detailed description

Could you be part of the team tackling homelessness and rough sleeping in the Greater Cambridge area?

This is an exciting time for the Community Land Trust, and we’re looking for people who share our vision and values to join the Board of Trustees. Whilst we're actively looking for a Treasurer, we're also keen to hear from people with Health & Safety or Fundraising experience. The role information pack can be found on our It Takes a City Community Land Trust website page

This is a rewarding and interesting opportunity to be part of developing the strategy and implementing the building of further micro-communities of innovative modular homes. The existing Trustees are all experts in their respective fields and we are also fortunate to benefit from the support of committed partners in the region.

Our first project, Joy's Corner, has given four people, who have experienced homelessness, their own front door, whilst being supported on their journey.

About It Takes a City Community Land Trust

It Takes a City Community Land Trust (the CLT) is part of the efforts to address homelessness and rough sleeping in the Greater Cambridge area. Our mission is to support vulnerable people on their long journey from the streets to having somewhere to call home.

The CLT worked with a number of partners, including Cambridge City Council, Allia, Bidwells, Munro Services and Stantec to deliver our first micro-community innovative self-contained, fully equipped modular housing, known as ‘pods’. The four pods are located on land not yet in use for housing.

In February of this year, the CLT welcomed the fourth and final resident, all of whom have experienced rough
sleeping, to our inaugural site, with the provision of support provided by our founding partner, It Takes a City.

With more potential sites identified in the Greater Cambridge area, we are looking for trustees to bring their experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm to help drive these projects forward.
