About It Takes a City Community Land Trust
It Takes a City Community Land Trust (ITAC-CLT) is part of the efforts to address homelessness and rough sleeping in the Greater Cambridge area. Our mission is to support vulnerable people on their long journey from the streets to having somewhere to call home. The CLT worked with a number of partners, including Cambridge City Council, Allia, Bidwells, Munro Services and Stantec to deliver our first micro-community innovative self-contained, fully equipped modular housing, known as ‘pods’. The four pods are located on land not yet in use for housing. In February of this year, ITAC-CLT welcomed the fourth and final resident, all of whom have experienced rough sleeping, to our inaugural site, with the provision of support provided by our founding partner, It Takes a City. With more potential sites identified in the Greater Cambridge area, we are looking for trustees to bring their experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm to help drive these projects forward.
