Volunteers with experience needed to help in the community garden on Thursday mornings. Tasks include: planting, weeding, watering, growing produce and more.

As part of the Clay Farm Community Garden team of volunteers, you will have a beautiful green space to enjoy gardening in and work within a friendly team to help maintain and develop the garden.

We are looking for people with some gardening experience to join the team on Thursday mornings from 9.30am approx.

We will arrange an initial meet up to show you the garden and learn more about what you can do. After that we will suggest a two week trial (One Thursday a week) with the aim of becoming a fully committed gardening volunteer team member.

The benefits of volunteering with us are those of reward and improved sense of wellbeing, through being active in nature whilst connecting within the group, plus see the fruits of your labour grow into beautiful flowers or fantastic produce.

Guidance will be given on what is required and what needs doing and we will do our best to accommodate any needs.

Tools and equipment are provided though we suggest wearing suitable clothing.

Once you have been volunteering for a while, you will have the opportunity to garden on other days too. We have a WhatsApp group for volunteers to connect and discuss things that need doing etc.
