Summary

These NHS volunteers welcome patients to our sites, collect feedback from patients (in person/by telephone), support with admin tasks & help at rehab sessions.

Detailed description

This volunteer role will support the DynamicHealth Team by welcoming patients to the department, collecting feedback from patients in person and by telephone, helping at rehab sessions, and supporting with general administration tasks.

Volunteers might:

  • Gain valuable patient feedback from patients about their experience of the service. This may be face to face after appointments or via telephone, and will include people who have not attended their appointments to identify barriers.
  • Assist the Dynamic Health Team with admin tasks such as stock-taking and stock replenishment, equipment / audit checks (i.e., monitoring fridge temperatures, handwashing & cleaning audits), creating displays in the reception area, preparing leaflet packs or photocopying.
  • Help at face-to-face rehabilitation class sessions – supporting with infection control measures, putting out/clearing away equipment, welcoming participants, providing encouragement during session to participants.

Volunteers should be comfortable with using IT equipment to enter data on to our systems.

This is a fulfilling role where you can meet new people, gain experience of an NHS environment, help patients in a clinical setting and learn new skills along the way.
