A Swish is a clothes swap party where local people bring their clothes to swap with their neighbours. Could you help us run this event?
Without volunteers we could not run our Swishes. Each volunteer makes the event look, run and feel better.
Swishes are a brilliant way to bring the ideas of the circular economy to life. In a circular Cambridge, we celebrate progressive ways to design, manufacture, access, repair and reuse the things that we want and need in our lives. We aim to live well with less stuff.
What is this role all about?
Tasks may include:
- Helping set up and pull down the event
- Welcoming people who’ve brought their clothes to swap and counting & weighing their items
- Sorting clothes before and during the swapping
- Serving hot drinks and cakes at the cafe
What skills do I need?
We need people who are:
- Punctual
- Flexible, willing to jump in and help with whatever they can
- Friendly
Is there any training or support available?
- There will be a briefing for volunteers at the start of the Swish.
- There will be a member of staff to help you.
