Our wonderful groups attending this year's Fair:
Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre would like volunteers for driving, admin and for their charity shop. They can also help you search for local opportunities.
Volunteer Cambs can answer any questions you have about volunteering, share local opportunities, and provide a demonstration of their volunteering platform.
Home-Start Cambridgeshire have volunteering roles that support families such as a group volunteer, remote support volunteer and home-visiting volunteer. They also have options to support their community
committee – acting as an ambassador and spreading the word of Home-Start Cambridgeshire.
Papworth Trust have volunteer opportunities that support disabled adults.
Huntingdonshire District Council have many volunteering roles from work parties to litter picking.
Addenbrookes Charitable Trust have a variety of roles available including helping at events and fundraising.
Ramsey Rural Museum have a selection of roles including social media, fundraising, bookkeeper, marketing, maintenance and conservation.
Guide Dogs have a variety of roles available including fundraising and puppy fostering roles.
Hunts Timebank (Timebank UK) & Godmanchester Community Timebank Timebanking works for everyone – individuals, organisations and society as a whole. People arrange to give time when it suits them, offering skills they enjoy using. It’s a two-way process of giving time and receiving time – and everybody has skills they can offer.
Huntingdon Sea Cadets offer flexible uniformed and non-uniformed roles, including a variety of support positions.
Huntingdonshire Community Group have many volunteering opportunities in social media and marketing, driving, and project support, including the Oxmoor Community Fridge based at Thongsley School.
Cambridgeshire Duke of Edinburgh Open Award Centre would like volunteer leaders for expeditions, admin, social media, grant applications, and they are also looking for trustees.
Woodgreen The Pets Charity are looking for volunteers for their charity shops, warehouse and Ebay department.
OuseValley Radio are looking for volunteers to present and produce their programmes.
Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough would like volunteers for their Telephone and In Home befriending services, and their new Care and Nursing Home befriending service.
CamCare UK have volunteer roles for community outreach, STEM outreach and elderly support.
Diamond Hampers CIC would like volunteers for: shop assistants, customer support, donation sorting, listing on Vinted, scanning books and so on.
How Are You Hunts brings together the very best of wellbeing support across Huntingdonshire—and, of course, volunteering is fantastic for both your physical and mental health. You can also speak with them about what’s happening in the local community.
Huntingdon Neuro Therapy Centre Their large premises require regular upkeep, and they can always use a hand in the Cafe, Garden or Office. They can find something to suit every individual! They also have trustee opportunities.
