We’re looking for a confident, friendly Volunteer IT Session Lead to support and guide our volunteer team helping deliver community IT learning across Cambridge
Detailed description
This role is ideal if you enjoy helping others, have strong people skills, and are happy taking a light leadership role in community sessions. You’ll play a key role in helping people gain confidence online and stay connected to the world around them.
🌟 What You’ll Do
You’ll lead and support small, welcoming community IT sessions by:
• Supporting our volunteer team during sessions and coordinating regularly with the Operations Manager
• Helping people with:
- Using smartphones, tablets, and laptops
- Basic IT skills and getting online
- Online safety and digital essentials
- Accessing online services and staying connected
- Creating a friendly, supportive learning environment
- Helping sessions run smoothly and confidently
✅ Training and support will be provided
🕒 Time commitment: Around 6 hours per week
🚲🚗 Travel: Ability to travel between session locations (cycling or driving is helpful)

• A DBS check (if you don’t have one, we will process one)

We are open from Monday to Friday 9:00 - 16:30.
We have Outreach sessions around Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
