We're looking for a friendly, confident volunteer to help year 7 and 8 pupils gain confidence with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

📍 Where

Various secondary schools in South Cambridgeshire

(locations will be confirmed after first contact with schools).

💬 What You will Be Doing

You’ll support the Digital Skills Tutor delivering Microsoft Office learning as part of our schools-based inclusion programme. This includes: 

  • Providing students with one-to-one support for Microsoft Office in the classroom 
  • Supporting with any IT issues on site/during the lessons (troubleshooting / others) 
  • Adapting the support you offer according to the individual student's needs
  • Engaging with the students in a manner that makes learning fun, develops their confidence, enthusiasm and knowledge
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment
  • Supporting the classroom tutor with  with classroom management

This role is ideal if you enjoy helping others and are a strong communicator, and are good with children aged 11 - 13 years. You’ll play a key role in helping people gain confidence online and stay connected to the world around them.

🧩 What You Need

  • Driving license and a car to travel to the schools
  • Live in Cambridge 
  • Highly competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confident with children aged 11 – 13 years 
  • A positive, patient attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • DBS check (organised and funded by us)

We are open from Monday to Friday 9:00 - 16:30.

We have Outreach sessions around Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
