Summary
To assist with the hospitality and running of bars at concerts, events, and services.Detailed description
Duties:
- To provide a warm welcome to all based on the Benedictine principals of hospitality.
- To prepare and serve drinks either before or during a concert, event, or special service. This may include alcohol and/or soft drinks depending on the occasion.
- To assist with the set up and pack down of the bar/refreshments area.
- To accept cash payments on behalf of the cathedral in circumstances such as programme and bar sales.
Person Specification:
- In sympathy with the Cathedral’s purpose, mission and values.
- Outgoing and approachable personality.
- Must be prepared, alert and able to respond to situations as they arise.
- Able to follow basic instructions.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to be on their feet for a large proportion of their time while on shift.
- Familiar with using e-mails.
- Competent with IT and comfortable with using an online rota system.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible.
Training:
- Required to undergo Basic Safeguarding Awareness Training every 3 years and be aware of the advice given in the Cathedral Safeguarding Handbook.
- Training relevant to tasks to be provided by supervisor.
Supervised by:
- The Events Manager.
