Help with design/programming for our websites, which provide tools for advocacy groups around the country working to help get more people cycling.
Our websites include:
- Journey planner - our journey planner, helping people plan better routes from A-B.
- Bikedata - presenting useful data like collisions, cycleability ratings, traffic counts, photos, etc.
- StreetFocus - providing UK-wide access to planning applications, so you can see what is proposed to change in your area.
- Widen My Path - helping people flag where there are problems on-street which form barriers to cycling/walking.
- Cyclescape - our discussion forum / toolkit system for cycle campaign groups around the UK.
We could really do with help with programming or design on all of these. Your work will be used by people all around the UK.
Our code is mostly open source, so you can just go straight to Github and get involved. The main site we need help with is our mobile routing site, which is standard HTML/CSS/JS.
On Github, go to the 'cyclestreets' organisation, and scroll down to the 'mobileweb' repository. Issue 19 for instance would be a good introductory ticket to work on.
