Supermarket Collection Helper

We are looking to increase our team of supermarket volunteers. Your role would involve handing out shopping lists to the public. This needs to be done in a friendly way without being pushy. Our present teams work in 3 teams on 2 hour shifts with 3-4 people on each shift. We collect from Wisbech Tesco Extra on the first Friday of each month. Why not come and join us we would welcome new volunteers.

You’ll understand the importance of supermarket collections in raising awareness of the food bank and be comfortable approaching people, handing them a shopping list and asking for a food donation. You’ll sort donations and deliver them to the local food bank. Your positive, friendly and enthusiastic approach will help to encourage and maximise food donations for those in crisis in your local community.
