Some volunteers may also have the opportunity (with additional training) to support restorative justice conversations, helping people affected by crime to feel heard and supported.
What skills or experience do I need?

Above all, you’ll have a genuine desire to help people and make a positive contribution to your community.
Time commitment
- Minimum of 6 hours per month
- Support is delivered flexibly across Cambridgeshire, with a particular need in Fenland
- Occasional visits to our hub in Peterborough (Thorpe Wood) for training, meetings and team support
Training, support and expenses
We offer comprehensive training and ongoing support, including:
- A full induction and role‑specific training
- Ongoing development opportunities (including trauma‑informed practice)
- All equipment provided (laptop and phone)
- Travel expenses reimbursed in line with policy
