Volunteer at the Cambridge Beer Festival – Make a Real Difference
The Red Hen Project exists because not every child in Cambridge gets a fair start. We are proud to be the festival's charity this year, taking place on Jesus Green from Monday 19 to Saturday 24 May 2025.
You’ll enjoy the buzzing festival atmosphere with free entry, food and beer tokens, and a welcoming, family- and dog-friendly environment.
Festival opening times:
- Monday (19 May): 5pm–10.30pm
- Tuesday to Friday (20–23 May): 12pm–3pm & 5pm–10.30pm
- Saturday (24 May): 12pm–10.30pm
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help with:
- Collecting glasses and donations – we receive £4 for every glass returned
- Staffing our stall with games, snacks, and fun fundraising activities
- Welcoming and chatting with festivalgoers
We especially need help during the evening shifts, when the festival is busiest and most glasses are returned. This is our biggest opportunity to raise funds – even an hour or two can make a big impact for children in Cambridge.
