We will work with you to shape the role to your strengths, interests and availability. These may include:
- Manage and direct external bookkeeper
- Approve the payment of invoices
- Ensure accounting records are kept up to date and reconciled on a periodic basis
- Preparation of periodic management accounts together with performance against budget
- Review monthly payroll and ensure liabilities are settled on time
- Review and approve quarterly VAT returns for submission with HM Revenue & Customs
- Set up bank payments in line with payment timetables
- Answer accounting and tax queries raised by customers
- Liaise and assist internal managers with financial decisions/queries
- Provide assistance to the charities’ treasurer
