Working within Soham Town Rangers Football Clubs tea and coffee hut serving tea, coffee and snacks to people visiting the Knife Angel.

The Knife Angel, officially known as the National Monument Against Violence and Aggression, is a striking 27-foot sculpture created by artist Alfie Bradley and the British Ironwork Centre. Made from over 100,000 confiscated knives and weapons, the sculpture represents the devastating impact of knife crime while also serving as a symbol of hope, remembrance and community action. Each blade used in its creation was surrendered or seized during police knife amnesties across the UK, making it a powerful reminder of the importance of tackling violence and supporting safer communities.

The Knife Angel will be open to the public from Thursday 21st May - Friday 19th June, 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.

The Knife Angel has never been hosted in Cambridgeshire before and Soham Town Rangers are extremely proud to be the hosts for Cambridgeshire.

About Soham Town Rangers Football Club

We are proud to announce that Soham Town Rangers Football Club will be hosting the Knife Angel from 20th May – 20th June 2026, marking the first time this powerful national monument has ever been brought to Cambridgeshire.

The Knife Angel will be open to the general public from 21st May – 19th June, 7 days a week between 10am and 5pm, and entry is completely free. We encourage as many people as possible to come and see this remarkable monument, reflect on its message, and take part in the important conversations it inspires about preventing violence and supporting young people.

This project is being delivered through a strong partnership with local organisations including the police, fire service, NHS, East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), East Cambridgeshire District Council, Soham Town Council and The National Lottery. Together, we hope to welcome visitors from across the county and beyond to experience the Knife Angel and help spread its message of awareness, education and positive change.
