Summary

This volunteer role, will help us to create content for our website and liaise with our partner organisations to represent their services accurately.

Detailed description

This volunteer will build up relationships with our partner organisations across the city, to ensure we regularly update our website accurately, with details of the services they offer. This volunteer will help partners to create simple helpful outlines of their work, thereby taking this pressure from them. The volunteer will also be an active member of our Communications team, who will contribute to creating interesting content for our website and potentially, other communication formats.

The volunteer will gain valuable communications experience and will make a huge impact to help those that find themselves homeless or sleeping on the street, or indeed those that care for these individuals, need good, accurate guidance to improve their outcomes.

Getting there

The majority of this work can be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams, a licence would be granted for use. Some travel to partners might be helpful to build relationships.

The purpose of Safer off the Streets is to promote for the public benefit the relief of those in need due to their experience of or risk of homelessness in Peterborough, in particular but not exclusively through providing information on how and where to access services, supporting engagement with service providers, enabling service providers to better meet need and raising awareness.
