Summary

Learn new skills as part of our café, serving customers and/or working behind the scenes as part of a friendly team.

Detailed description

Café Volunteers are required to serve refreshments to visitors and staff in our community centre cafe.


KEY TASKS MAY INCLUDE:


  • Preparing and selling food and drinks to patients, visitors and staff in Royal Voluntary 
  • Service hospital/health care centre cafés
  • Cash handling and reconciliation 
  • Stock replenishment and rotation 
  • Inform service manager of low stocks, faulty equipment and any daily problems
  • Clearing tables
  • Ensure café displays a professional image and complies with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
  • Ensure unit is clean and secure on closing
  • Acting as a friendly point of contact for customers
