Volunteering is a great way of meeting people and making new friends. It is also a good way to gain valuable experience if you are looking to complete your Duke of Edinburgh Award or in addition to looking for work. This exciting volunteering role involves delivering poppies and tins to local businesses and shops throughout the areas of King Hedges and Fenditton in Cambridge, at the beginning of the Poppy Appeal (mid Oct) and collecting them after the Appeal (Remembrance Sunday) and then counting and banking the donations. We would love to hear from groups or organisations that maybe would like to volunteer as a group for this role.

Reasonable out of pocket expenses can be claimed back. ie fuel incurred for distributing poppies.

You don't need to have served or know anything about the Armed Forces Community to join in with the Poppy Appeal. Full training and guidance is provided for the role. Applicants should be over 18 and be able to drive.
