Join charity Rowan as a volunteer on our stall at Apple Day 2024! Help sell our products, restock, and engage with visitors to support our charity.

Are you passionate about supporting local charities and enjoy engaging with the public? We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help us at Rowan’s stall during the annual Apple Day at Cambridge Botanical Garden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the sale of Rowan's products (such as artwork, crafts, etc.) at our stall
  • Restocking items and keeping the display tidy
  • Talking to visitors and providing information about Rowan and our work in a friendly, approachable manner
  • Representing Rowan positively and helping answer any questions visitors may have
  • Assisting with set-up and pack-down of the stall, if needed

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm and a friendly attitude towards engaging with the public
  • Good communication skills to help promote Rowan
  • Ability to stand for periods of time and assist with light lifting (such as restocking)
  • Advantage (but not essential) if you are able to drive and/or have a car - we are in need of a driver to transport our stall products from Rowan to the event.

Training and Support:

Prior to the event, all volunteers will be invited to visit our art centre for a tour and informal chat. This will give you a deeper understanding of Rowan’s mission and the work we do, so you feel confident sharing our story with others.

How to Apply:

If you’re interested in this rewarding volunteer opportunity and would like to help us make Apple Day 2024 a success, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
