Summary

Want to bring people closer to nature in your area? RSPB Cambridge Local Group is looking for a new leader to help co-ordinate its activities.

Detailed description

The RSPB is the UK's largest conservation charity with over 1 million members and 200 nature reserves.


Local groups are our voice in the community.

Are you a people person with good organisational skills? Could you be our new Cambridge Group Leader? We have been run since 2019 by our Committee volunteer team and are now seeking someone who can help lead the Group forward.


Training and staff support is provided.


This is a fantastic role to get involved in locally and be at the forefront of solutions to help save nature in your community. The Cambridge Local Group have an active online presence of over 1.6k followers and a small local group membership of 60 - 80 members.


The role is flexible enough to allow the right person to try new things and use your skills to make a valuable contribution to the work of our RSPB Local Group. We are a friendly and supportive team, so you will get the chance to build new relationships and meet new faces.

The RSPB is the UK's largest conservation charity. Our local groups' aim is to actively support the work of the RSPB in the local community and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the Society’s conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities. The Cambridge local group has monthly indoor meetings locally throughout the year, along with occasional day trips to local nature reserves. All are welcome to join.
