Support inclusive performing arts workshops for young people aged 8–18. Help build confidence, creativity and belonging in SEND friendly sessions.
POP Collective CIC is looking for friendly, supportive volunteers to help at our inclusive summer performing arts workshops for children and young people aged 8–18 across Cambridge and Cambourne.
Support inclusive performing arts workshops for children and young people. Help build confidence, creativity and belonging in SEND friendly sessions across Cambridge and Cambourne this summer.
Our workshops combine drama, music, movement and creative activities in welcoming, SEND friendly environments where children and young people can build confidence, express themselves and feel part of a supportive community.
Workshop Dates & Venues
Tuesday 4th August
Cambourne Village College
Wednesday 5th August
Clay Farm Centre, Cambridge
Thursday 6th August
Browns Field Community Centre, Chesterton
Sessions at each venue:
• POP Performers (ages 8–11)
10am–12:30pm
• POP Stagecraft (ages 11–18)
1pm–3:30pm
Volunteers can help out for just 1 session, or all 6!
We would also invite all volunteers to attend our Volunteer Training Day on Monday 3rd August at Cambourne Village College from 10am–1pm.
This supportive session will help volunteers feel confident and prepared before the workshops begin and will include safeguarding, behaviour support, inclusion, communication strategies, and an overview of how the workshops will run.
Volunteers will help:
• Support young people during sessions
• Encourage participation and confidence
• Help children feel welcomed and included
• Assist with creative activities and games
• Support staff with sign in and supervision
• Help set up and tidy workshop spaces
This opportunity is ideal for anyone interested in:

• Building experience with children and young people
No previous experience is required, just kindness, enthusiasm and a willingness to support young people.
A DBS check will be completed for volunteers where required.
