Detailed description
We are looking for up to 6 Education Volunteers to support our Creative Programme Manager in the delivery of our popular and expanding education programme for schools and families. The programme includes workshops for primary and secondary school groups and activities for family events.
What’s involved?
· Helping to set up and pack away tables, chairs, equipment and materials for activities
· Overseeing small group activities: explaining the activity to participants and encouraging people to get involved
· Welcoming people to the activity and engaging them in conversation about the task
· Providing feedback about how well the activity has worked so that it can be adapted and improved for the future.

This role will suit people who ….. enjoy interacting with people, especially children, and have good communication skills; are patient with other people; can think on their feet and take the initiative if needed; enjoy working as part of a small team.
No existing knowledge of horseracing is required.
Please note, this role requires ID and DBS checks which the museum will complete.
About National Horseracing Museum
The National Horseracing Museum is a 5-acre site in the heart of Newmarket.
The site is made up of National Horseracing Museum in the Trainer’s House and King’s Yard Galleries, the Packard Galleries of British Sporting Art in Palace House, and a chance to meet former racehorses in the Rothschild Yard. So much more than a museum!
