Summary

The branch needs someone to provide admin support to the branch. Our branches provide invaluable support to autistic people and their families

Detailed description

What you will be doing

  • Sending out information to branch members about activities (by post or by email), or making sure another committee member has all of the information required so that they can do this.
  • Sending and responding to branch emails.
  • Liaising with other agencies and organisations to further support for autistic people in Cambridgeshire.
  • Attending monthly committee meetings, either in person near Cambridge or over zoom.
  • Other administration tasks that may arise within the branch.

The skills you need

  • Knowledge and experience of the autism spectrum is an advantage but not essential as we can provide training.
  • Patience and understanding of the needs of others.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • The ability to see the world from a different perspective.
  • Access to a computer with internet access.
  • Confident using Outlook, Word and Excel and social media

When and Where

  • Roughly 1 hour a week
  • Home based (plus travel to group meetings where appropriate)
