📍 Volunteer Community Events Reporter
Be our eyes and ears out in the community
There is always something happening across Fenland, and we want to make sure local people hear about it.
As a Volunteer Community Events Reporter, you'll get out and about in the community, attending local festivals, fundraisers, sporting events, shows, fairs and community celebrations and helping us capture the people and stories behind them.
You could be recording interviews, taking photographs, gathering reactions or simply telling us what's happening so we can share it with our listeners and online audience.
You don't need previous radio, journalism or photography experience. We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic people who are curious about their community and enjoy meeting others.
What could you get involved with?
Depending on the event and your interests, you could:
- Attend local festivals, fairs and community celebrations
- Cover charity events and fundraising activities
- Visit local sporting fixtures and competitions
- Interview organisers, participants and visitors
- Record short audio reports and interviews
- Take photographs that capture the atmosphere of an event
- Gather interesting stories and comments from people attending
- Help identify upcoming events that MoreMuzic Radio could feature
- Provide material for our radio programmes
- Create content and ideas that can be developed for our online and social media channels
- Help shine a spotlight on smaller events, groups and organisations within our community
