🎙️ Volunteer Radio Co-Host
Find your voice and learn radio alongside an experienced presenter
Love music, sport, conversation or your local community, but not sure you're ready to take control of your own radio show?
Becoming a Volunteer Radio Co-Host is a great way to get started.
You'll learn the ropes alongside one of our existing presenters, getting involved in a real radio programme while building your confidence and discovering what goes into creating entertaining radio.
No previous radio or broadcasting experience is required. We're looking for enthusiasm, personality, reliability and a willingness to have a go.
What could you get involved with?
Depending on the programme and your interests, you could:
- Join the presenter for conversations and features on air
- Introduce music and other programme elements
- Help research interesting topics, stories and ideas
- Interview guests and local people
- Get involved with music, sport or community discussions
- Help plan future programmes and features
- Learn how a radio programme is put together
- Gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence grows
- Bring your own personality and ideas to the programme
You won't be expected to know everything from day one. That's the whole point of co-hosting.
