Summary

Wildlings is our outdoor carer and baby group, they are looking for a volunteer to help make tea, give out biscuits and chat to new mums.

Detailed description

Being a new parent can be overwhelming, connecting with the wider community is essential for mental health during this time. At Milton Country Park, our Wildlings group offers this opportunity in the outdoors and allows parents time to be themselves while providing stimulating experiences for their little one.

Our Wildlings baby group meets in the Wild Place to provide a friendly, sociable and nurturing environment for new parents and their children. The session is run by a trained leader but a volunteer role is available for someone who is keen to help out

Main Duties: Assisting session lead with set-up, serving tea and cake or biscuits to adult participants, facilitating chats and helping with pack-down at the end of the session.

Special Requirements: Appropriate clothing and footwear should be worn at all times (e.g. closed toed shoes and suitable protection from the weather).

Please see the Milton Country Park Volunteering page for a more detailed role description.
