Now we are looking for 80 friendly and reliable people like you to help support this iconic event throughout the streets of Cambridge. Get involved and join the volunteering team to make this one of Cambridge's events of the year!

We need:

Course marshals: Ensuring all runners follow the race route, assisting them with any issues they may have during the race and also cheering them on every step of the way!

Race registration marshals: Working on our registration desks in the event village assigning race numbers and giving information on start times / location.

Finish marshals: Help handing out medals and goodies!

Bag drop marshals: Ensuring that all runners bags are kept safe and ready to be collected once they have crossed the finish line.

Crowd control: Helping within the event village to keep areas clear from spectators and also assist runners with getting to the changeover zone.

You will need to be able to commit for the full event (approx. 8 am-12 pm). Parking will be avaliable for volunteers in the centre of Cambridge.

Please note we will try to match you with your preferred volunteering activity, but cannot guarantee this.

About Magpas Air Ambulance

Magpas Air Ambulance provides the very best pre-hospital emergency care, in the air or on land, including treatments usually only available in hospital. Operating 24/7, we answer on average four calls for help a day, treating around 900 patients in life-threatening emergencies every year.

Magpas Air Ambulance serves the communities of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and across the East of England and is dispatched by both the East of England and the East Midlands Ambulance Service Trusts—caring for a population of over 10 million.

Our advanced medical team combines the skills of a senior doctor and critical care paramedic on every shift. All members of the team are specially trained in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM), and support the ambulance service by bringing advanced medical care directly to their patients’ side when time is of the essence.

We receive no regular state funding and rely on generous public donations to continue saving lives.
