As a Trustee, you will be making monthly decisions on grant applications and ensuring assets are managed & positioned for long-term sustainability and growth.
Trustees are expected to attend monthly board meetings, where responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and making decisions on grant applications
- Reviewing the land and property portfolio
- Overseeing the investment portfolio
There is also an opportunity to become a member of the Finance Sub-Committee.
A strategic planning session to define and agree the direction of focus is held each year.
Our board has a close relationship with the staff team, and prides itself on being friendly and relaxed.
We are seeking a trustee with experience in law or property and land management to support the effective governance of the charity and stewardship of its assets. The role would suit someone with knowledge of property matters, legal agreements, or asset management who can help the Board make informed decisions about the charity’s land, property, and investments.
The successful candidate will bring sound judgement, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach to discussions. Previous board experience is helpful but not essential. Above all, we are looking for someone who is committed to the charity’s purpose and able to contribute their professional expertise to support its long-term sustainability.
