We are looking for volunteers to help with looking after the Brewery Field plants, shrubs and trees. Gardening experience is useful but not essential.
There is a small enclosed Nectar Garden, planted with pollinating flowers, which requires regular weeding. Experienced local gardeners would be welcome for this task, bring wheelbarrow/trugs, gloves and fork if you can.
The trees and shrubs need regular mulching and occasional watering (we have a borehole and long hoses). There are piles of mulch on site to spread at the base of the trees.
The wood on site (benches, signs and exercise equipment) needs annual treating with wood preservative.
The petanque court needs weeding (we do not allow chemical weedkiller on site).
We'd be delighted if you could join us on our ad-hoc volunteer days, and once you know the ropes, to work at times to suit you.
