Inclusive Sport Facilitator

 About Showdown: 

•  Showdown is a fast-paced, sound-based game—think air hockey meets table tennis—designed specifically for players with visual impairments.
• It’s quick, competitive, and completely inclusive.
•  We’re building a community around this incredible sport, and we need your help to take it further. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

 As a club volunteer, you could support us with: 

• Setting up and packing away equipment before and after training sessions
•  Refereeing games during practice
•  Learning to coach (optional, and fully supported with training)
• Helping the club enter and attend tournaments
• Supporting players with travel to competitions
• Volunteering at tournaments 

Time Commitment: 

• Regular sessions: fortnightly on Mondays 6:30 pm –8:30 pm, plus 15 mins setup and pack down. Next Session is 17th November 2025
• Occasional weekend travel to support tournaments 
• Estimated commitment: up to 8 hours per month, with the potential for more as the club grows and we look to run additional sessions 

What We’re Looking For:

•  Friendly, reliable people who want to make sport more accessible
•  No prior experience in coaching or supporting blind athletes needed— we’ll provide full training 
•  An interest in sport is helpful—especially table tennis, tennis, or air hockey
• A full driving licence is a bonus, but absolutely not essential
