Are you organised, reliable, and looking to build your administration skills?

Join Deafblind UK as a Social Group Admin Volunteer and help support vital social groups that connect people living with sight and hearing loss.

About the role

In this role, you’ll support the smooth running of our national social group service by helping to manage key administrative tasks. This includes setting up attendees for telephone groups, updating our CRM system (Raiser’s Edge), maintaining accurate records, and keeping important data and spreadsheets up to date. You may also contact participants to confirm attendance at face-to-face sessions, as well as send emails and text messages to keep people informed.

Who we’re looking for

This opportunity would suit someone with good IT skills who is confident working independently and enjoys staying organised. It’s ideal if you’re looking to gain experience in administration or data systems.

What you’ll gain

You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team, with the chance to develop valuable admin and data management skills, including experience using CRM systems—great for building your CV. We’ll provide ongoing support to help you grow in the role, while giving you the opportunity to make a real difference as part of the Deafblind UK community.

What you’ll need

You’ll be asked to provide two references, have access to a secure internet connection and a quiet place to work, and be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

Support and training

We’ll ensure you feel confident and supported from the start, with training, guidance, and regular check-ins throughout your volunteering journey.
