Community Market Organiser/Assistant

Love connecting with people? Enjoy local food, handmade crafts, and supporting your community?

We’re looking for friendly, organised volunteers to help run our monthly community market. Whether you’d like to take a lead role on market day or simply lend a hand with specific tasks, there are plenty of ways to get involved—both in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself.

The market currently runs on 1st Sunday of the month 9.30am-1pm, although we're reviewing this timing with existing volunteers.

Volunteering tasks may include:

• Communicating with current traders and booking new stallholders
• Greeting stallholders and helping plan the market layout
• Assisting with setup and pack-down
• Promoting the market and chatting with visitors
• Putting up posters and/or sharing updates on social media
• Working with local groups, makers, and growers
• Helping to create a welcoming, lively market atmosphere
• Serving refreshments at our snacks kiosk
