Hub Fundraising Volunteer – East of England (Cats Protection)

Location: Across The East of England (you choose which events you attend)

Commitment: Flexible – choose the events that suit you

Minimum age: 18+

Cause: Animal Welfare / Community / Charity Events/Fundraising

About the opportunity

Do you enjoy meeting people, supporting community events and making a real difference for animals? Cats Protection is looking for Hub Fundraising Volunteers to support our fundraising events across the East of England. These events help raise the vital funds that allow us to help thousands of cats each year — and we’d love you to be part of it.

This is a flexible role where you’ll be offered opportunities and can choose the ones that fit your schedule. It’s perfect for someone who enjoys being out and about, supporting events, and representing a much‑loved national charity.

What you’ll be doing

You can pick and choose the activities you’d like to support. These may include:

  • Helping at community fundraising events (fairs, open days, zoo events, markets, garden centres, local shows)
  • Setting up and running fundraising stalls
  • Talking to the public about Cats Protection and the work we do
  • Helping with simple admin or event preparation
  • Supporting event logistics (e.g., merchandise, donation buckets, information materials)
  • Taking photos to capture event activity

What we’re looking for

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are 18 or over
  • Enjoy meeting new people and being part of a friendly team
  • Are comfortable travelling to local events (only in areas you choose)
  • Are reliable, approachable and happy to represent Cats Protection
  • Want a flexible role with no minimum hours
  • Have a passion for animal welfare — especially cats!

No prior experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

What you’ll get from us

  • A warm welcome and full support from your Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader
  • Flexibility — volunteer as much or as little as you like
  • Agreed out‑of‑pocket expenses covered
  • Training, guidance and ongoing support
  • The chance to meet new people, build confidence and be part of a caring community
  • The satisfaction of knowing you’re helping to change the lives of cats across the East of England
