Effective school governance needs a committed team of people with a range of skills to ensure the children in our communities have the best opportunities for learning, development and achievement. We all have a part to play.
Governors are essential in ensuring accountability for pupils’ educational outcomes, effective use of school funds and setting and pursuing a clear and ambitious vision for every pupil. They also provide support to the school leaders who undertake these responsibilities.
A range of relevant training is provided to support governors in their role and make the most of everyone’s commitment.
We believe that strong school governance:
· Ensures every child has access to a high-quality education
· Benefits from people’s different experiences and backgrounds
· Enables governors to develop transferable professional and personal skills.
