Help us rescue surplus food from waste and deliver it to community food projects around Cambridge.
Do you want to help save good food from waste in Cambridge? Join our team of surplus collection drivers!
Our volunteer drivers play a vital role in rescuing food that is still good to eat from being wasted, and ensuring it reaches the people who need it most in Cambridge. They do this by collecting surplus food from local supermarkets and delivering it to food hubs and redistribution centres across the city where it can be sent out to feed the community.
Surplus collections are on weekday mornings (Mon-Fri) between 7-9:30am. We also have other ad-hoc driving roles available on weekdays, such as making deliveries to food hubs and collecting donated fruit and veg. Enquire to find out more.
This is a flexible role and we welcome drivers who can help regularly, or every now and then!
As a volunteer driver you'll need valid driving licence and your own insured vehicle. A spacious car is helpful!
