Help support the running of our weekly 'Waste Not Wednesdays' cafe. Connecting neighbours through nourishing food and good company.
Do you want to help reduce food waste, meet new people, and help build a healthier food community in Cambridge?
We are looking for volunteers to help at our weekly ‘Waste Not Wednesdays’ cafe at St Philip’s Church on Mill Road.
Every week our volunteers take surplus food that is perfectly good to eat and turn it into delicious, healthy lunches which are available on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis. The cafe provides a valuable opportunity for people to come together and to enjoy a tasty nourishing lunch while connecting with neighbours in their local community.
The cafe is entirely volunteer run and you don’t need any previous cookery or hospitality experience to join the team. You’ll love this role if you enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, cooking fresh, simple food using seasonal and surplus ingredients, believe food should be accessible, sustainable and affordable for everyone, and want to be part of something that makes a real difference locally.
Kitchen and front of house roles available. Enquire for more details.
