Summary
Volunteers work alongside Cambridge Street Pastors in NightLite, offering a non-judgmental safe space for anyone in the city at night from 10pm to 3am.Detailed description
Volunteers work as part of the Cambridge Street Pastors team, at NightLite, a safe space/ night cafe in Downing Place Church CB2 3EL (Next to Revolution & opposite John Lewis)
Last Saturday of every month from 9.30pm to 3.30am
NightLite provides free access to toilet, hot drinks or water, snacks, a place to recover or to wait (friends, taxi, paramedics), re-charge phone, etc.
Volunteers will be expected to help wherever necessary under the supervision of the Team Leader for that night.
Many people find themselves in a difficult situation while out at night, so a caring, helpful and practical outlook is vital to provide whatever support is required.

What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout Cambridge Street Pastors
Cambridge Street Pastors and NightLite offer practical, emotional and spiritual support to people out in Cambridge on Saturday nights. As volunteers from churches of any denomination, we are non-judgmental and happy to help anyone of any faith, gender, sexuality and age. Street Pastors patrol the streets from 10pm until 3am and are easy to recognise in their blue uniforms and hi viz lettering. NightLite is based in Downing Place URC Church, just opposite John Lewis. We help and respond to calls from Door staff, police, paramedics and CamBac (cctv).
