Event Volunteer

As part of our collaborations with communities across the East of England, we participate in community days, conferences and creative events.

● Event support - supporting our presence at various events over the year. Assist with setting up CCI’s presence at these events including tasks like furniture set up, art

installation set up. Assisting with engaging attendees and inviting them to join the activity. Assisting with packing up the space at the end of the event.

● Event Photographer - supporting the event by documenting the engagement. Photographs need to be taken following the strict guidelines for each event and

suitable for use on social media, annual report etc. Subject to event photography guidelines, this can be smartphone and doesn’t require professional level equipment.

● Event Scribe - Noting quotes from people engaging with the activities or spotting details. An example from a recent event was a record of the answer to the question

“what does the outside mean to you?”. These notes will then become part of our project reporting, Zines etc.

● Driver - Assisting moving of materials from CCI’s base to event location and collection at the end of the day. Most events may involve a Gazebo, various art materials and other items as required.

These invitations would suit someone:

● Who enjoys public events and meeting lots of people over the day including children

● Is able to assist with setting up and taking down a small event stall

● Enjoys working in a team with others

In addition to the above, the driver role might suit someone:

● Who has access to a car and is happy to load it with art and event supplies
