A build-a-bird-box and seed-sowing family activity at the Akeman Community Centre as part of the Arbury Feast.
We are running a family activity at the Akeman Community Centre as part of the Arbury Feast on 15 August 2024. We are looking for two or three volunteers to help children and families build and decorate a bird box, and sow some seeds for the Growing Space and home. The Akeman Growing Space is a Hubbub NatureHub project with Cambridge Sustainable Food.

We are a Hubbub NatureHub! The Akeman Centre is collaborating with Cambridge Sustainable Foods to enhance the growing space at the Akeman Centre to help residents and centre users to grow and share food crops. Growing is through a raised bed system, and fruit bushes and trees have also been added. We are looking for volunteers to help form a regular Garden Club for the Akeman Centre Growing Space.
