Summary

Help South Cambs Rotary Club raise money for ACT with their annual car parking scheme to the festive shoppers visiting Cambridge from using the college grounds

Detailed description

Christmas Car Parking Scheme - Cambridge

The Rotary Club of Cambridge South is once again running its Christmas Car Parking Scheme, offering Christmas shoppers the chance to park all day in central Cambridge in return for a minimum £7 donation to support local charities and good causes, including Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) in support of the new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital, along with other local causes.

The scheme operates on the weekends in two city centre car parks: Saturday 29th November – Sunday 28th December 2025

  • Downing Site (Tennis Court Road)
  • Saturdays: 8:30am–4:00pm
  • Sundays: 10:00am–3:00pm

  • Department of Chemistry (Lensfield Road)
  • Saturdays: 10:00am–5:00pm
  • Sundays: 11:00am–5:00pm

Both car parks will also be open from 29 December to 31 December 2025. This initiative is made possible through the generous support of the University Estates Department, the Downing Site, and the University of Cambridge Department of Chemistry, who have kindly allowed free use of their facilities.

The success of this fundraising project depends on volunteers, who help the Rotary Club staff the car parks each weekend.

If you can spare a few hours to help, please get in touch - we’d be very grateful for your support.
