Join the Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run and help receive festive gifts for children at Addenbrooke’s.

Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run – Volunteer Opportunity

Date: Sunday 6 December

Time: 10am–12pm

Location: Trumpington Park & Ride, Cambridge

Volunteers needed: 3

Join us for a very special festive volunteering opportunity at the Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run.

Around 500 bikers are expected to arrive at Trumpington Park & Ride to donate Christmas presents for children at Addenbrooke’s and the Red Hen Project. It is always quite a spectacle, with many of the bikers getting into the Christmas spirit and arriving in festive wear!

Working alongside the Play Team from Addenbrooke’s, volunteers will help to:

  • Welcome and greet the bikers as they arrive
  • Receive donated Christmas presents
  • Help load and organise the donations
  • Sort presents ready to be taken back to Addenbrooke’s

This is a hands-on role and will involve some lifting and moving of donated presents, so volunteers should be comfortable with a reasonable level of physical activity.

The event takes place outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the December weather. ACT gilets or high-vis jackets can be provided.

Practical information

  • Free parking is available at Trumpington Park & Ride
  • The location is accessible, although volunteers should be mindful that the role may involve lifting
  • Refreshments are not provided, so please bring anything you may need with you
  • Support and guidance will be provided throughout the event

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to have you join us and help make Christmas a little more special for children at Addenbrooke’s.
