Cambridge City FC has chosen ACT as their Charity of the Year, and we have been invited to carry out collections at four home fixtures throughout the season.
This is a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds, increase awareness of ACT, and engage with local supporters.
We are looking for volunteers to support one or more of the following fixtures:
Location
FWD-IP Community Stadium
West Way, Sawston
Cambridge, CB22 3FG
Dates
• Saturday 12 September
• Friday 7 November
• Saturday 13 February
• Saturday 20 March
Time Commitment
2:00pm – 5:00pm
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking donations using collection buckets and card payment terminals
- Talking to supporters and members of the public about ACT and the work we do
- Helping raise awareness of how ACT supports Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals
February Fixture Only
In addition to collections, we will also be running a Panda Cub Club thumbprint activity inside the football club facilities.
To give everyone the opportunity to experience the different aspects of the event, volunteers will be rotated throughout the afternoon and will have the chance to support a range of activities, including bucket collections, card collections and the Panda Cub Club activity.
You can learn more about our Panda Meander art trail that will be launched in Cambridge in Spring 2027.
What to Expect
Please note that this role will involve periods of standing and walking around the stadium whilst engaging with supporters and collecting donations.
Interested?
We are looking for approximately 4-6 volunteers for each fixture.
If you would like to take part, please get in touch to find out more.
