Be the Face of Change in Your Community!

About the Role

As an ACT Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll be a friendly, confident ambassador for the charity – raising awareness, building relationships, and inspiring others to support our hospitals.

This is a varied and sociable role that suits people who enjoy being out in their community, meeting new people, and making a visible difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

You don’t have to do everything – you can get involved in the activities that suit you best.

Community engagement

  • Giving short talks about ACT (online or in person – training provided)
  • Raising awareness locally and sharing ACT’s fundraising opportunities
  • Introducing ACT to local businesses, groups, and organisations

Fundraising support

  • Helping place and collect charity tins in local shops and venues
  • Promoting our “volunteer with a friend” initiative
  • Supporting the set‑up of new local fundraising groups

Event support (when available)

  • Being a welcoming face at fundraising event
  • Helping with event set‑up and clear‑down
  • Cheering on participants and handing out refreshments

You’ll always be backed by the ACT Fundraising Team, who will guide and support you every step of the way.
