Be the Voice of ACT in Your Community!

About the Role

As an ACT Champion, you’ll be a friendly, engaging ambassador for the charity – raising awareness, sharing ACT’s story, and inspiring others to get involved.

This role is ideal if you enjoy:

  • Meeting new people
  • Talking about causes you care about
  • Making a visible and meaningful difference

✅ Full training, resources, and ongoing support are provided by the ACT team.

What You’ll Be Doing

You don’t have to do everything – you can get involved in the activities that suit you best.

Community engagement

  • Sharing ACT’s work and impact with local groups or organisations
  • Giving short talks or presentations (online or in person – training provided)
  • Representing ACT at community and fundraising events

Building connections

  • Strengthening relationships with existing supporters
  • Helping ACT reach new audiences and communities

Every conversation you have helps raise awareness — and that awareness leads directly to better care for patients.

The Difference You’ll Make

Your time and enthusiasm help ensure Addenbrooke’s and The Rosie continue to go beyond what NHS funding alone can provide.

Together, we’re supporting:

  • Better patient experiences
  • Access to specialist equipment
  • Recruitment of leading experts
  • Research into future treatments and cures

What you do truly matters.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and walks of life. Diversity makes ACT stronger, and we value the unique perspectives each volunteer brings.

You don’t need previous public speaking or fundraising experience — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to represent ACT positively in your community.

🚗 Being able to travel locally is helpful, but flexibility and enthusiasm matter most.
