We're looking for volunteers to support the group's future, helping us grow, manage resources and ensure even more young people can benefit from Scouting.

If you're passionate about helping young people succeed and want to make a difference behind the scenes, becoming a Trustee Team Member could be the perfect role for you.

Our trustees provide support, guidance and oversight, helping ensure that great Scouting can happen week after week. While our section volunteers deliver adventures directly to young people, the Trustee Team helps create the foundations that make it all possible.

What might you do?

  • Help shape the future of the Scout Group
  • Support fundraising and financial planning
  • Ensure buildings, equipment and resources are well managed
  • Help the Group meet its legal and charitable responsibilities
  • Support volunteer recruitment and growth
  • Bring your ideas, experience and enthusiasm to the team

One month you might be helping plan for future growth, supporting a fundraising project or reviewing finances. The next, you could be helping improve facilities, supporting a community event, or finding new ways to ensure local young people have access to Scouting.

What do you need?

A willingness to support the Scout Group and work as part of a team.

You don't need previous Scouting experience, financial expertise, or charity governance knowledge. We welcome people from all backgrounds and will provide the guidance and support you need to feel confident in the role.

The best bit

You'll be helping hundreds of young people access life-changing opportunities, friendship, adventure and skills for life.

It's a flexible way to make a meaningful contribution to your community, using your skills and experience to help our Scout Group thrive for years to come.
